JORDU Drew in My Pad

I had the pleasure of meeting the uber talented JORDU SCHELL.
If you don't know who or what Jordu is all about then severely berate your silly self and then rush over and admire his gorgeously incredible handiwork which can be found here --->  MASKS - SCHELL STUDIO

Now Jordu is one heck of an insanely incredible sculpter mask maker and someone whose work I've been in awe of ever since I first laid eyes on it. He had spent some time leisurely looking through my drawings  and chatting  (he is a extremely funny guy too  ) you can imagine  how thrilled to bits I was  when  in a moment of spontaneity he picked up a nearby pen and  effortlessly drew me a delightful alien creature design. As shown in the photos below.

Recently I filled up the neighbouring page with a little cartoon .

POD PEOPLE --THEY LIVE!

Just imagine if the Invasion of the Body Snatcher really happened - some extra terrestrial spores carried on solar wind to this fair planet of ours , the plan to quietly colonize and take over the world,  but what if once their under-hand plan was on its way they discovered that the skull faced aliens from THEY LIVE were already here and hidden in the population!

THE THING is....

horror film , monster alien make up effect
In THE THING it's not just the mind that wanders....the whole damn head does too !!

THREE THINGS I like about the THING

1.THE THING --- best space monster movie ever.

2. ROB BOTTIN --- aged 22 and he unleashed the most inventive creatures designs on cinema goers ever.

3. THE SNOW --- makes it feel so Christmassy.

While we're on the subject , here's another poster from my collection a lovely dark image of some shapeless threat hovering over the outpost, really sums up the dark horror of the film,  makes me think of a larger version of the creature that shrieks up from the petri dish during the blood test scene.

"man is the warmest place to hide."
